Jake Rotham grew up by the beach in Perth’s Northern Suburbs, spending weekends surfing and playing footy with his brothers. Fishing was always around, thanks to his grandad—an avid beach and rock fisherman—who had Alvey reels, old fishing books, and lures lying around. His grandad and mates shared endless stories of days spent fishing the WA coast, sparking Jake’s respect for old-school fishermen. His passion grew on family trips to Moore River, but landing his first Tailor on a trip with his uncle truly set the hook.

After pursuing other interests through his teens and 20's, his froth for fishing was reignited.  Now, he chases Tailor in the surf, Inshore Snapper, Swan River Mulloway, and Dhu fish, all on lures while looking for the next species to tick off. He soaks up knowledge from experienced anglers, knowing there’s always more to learn. As co-host of the Rodcast, he brings that same passion and curiosity to every episode.

Mark Lecras grew up in a Crayfishing town where fishing and footy we're a way of life. That passion for Footy took him to the AFL, where he was drafted to the West Coast Eagles and went on to have a highly successful career. After hanging up the boots, he turned his focus back to the outdoors, now balancing multiple pursuits across fishing and adventure.

As a host on the 4WD Adventure Show, he travels the state filming epic off-road and fishing trips. He’s also a fishing reporter and a footy analyst for Channel 7, keeping him close to both of his lifelong passions. Whether he’s jigging for Dhufish in his backyard or casting lures for Barramundi in the Kimberley, Mark’s always chasing the next adventure. Now, as co-host of Tall Tails Fishing Podcast, he brings his love for fishing, storytelling, and a good laugh to every episode.
